Topic: Writing effective User Stories for Agile or Waterfall
Speaker: Mario Moreira

Abstract

Writing effective User Stories for Agile or Waterfall

User Stories are a form of requirement that promotes a conversation and understanding of a product need from a user perspective. User Story constructs have been adopted by those that deploy Agile methods (most notably the canonical form) but they have also been used within the Waterfall (or hybrid) world.

This session will introduce you to user stories to help you understand a user perspectives. But more importantly, this session will introduce you to the various elements of a User story so that you may build your own meaningful user story language construct that you may use to better convey requirements when building your product.

This session will also introduce the concept of the persona so that you gain a holistic perspective of your product's various users which ensures that you have user stories for all relevant users.
