Abstract

Quality Code: Total Process Improvement as a Player/Coach

Coaching technical teams is challenging. You want to improve the process. The team is focused on the product, if you're lucky, or the technology. Sometimes you feel like the aid worker overseas trying to help people wondering why the people you're trying to help don't seem to appreciate your efforts. Stephen will present an alternate framework for and approach to process improvement based on a player/coach model. He will give specific techniques and real-life examples from his experiences as a manager and coach. By embedding in the team and working alongside them in their day-to-day activities, you can effectively guide them to higher performance in a much more targeted way.
